The Command Project

Terms & Conditions

Effective October 5, 2026 · Last updated October 13, 2026

These Terms govern your use of join.thecommandproject.com and thecommandproject.com, The Command Project app (iPhone, Android and web at app.thecommandproject.com), and the programs, communities, emails and text messages of The Command LLC, doing business as The Command Project (“TCP,” “we,” “us”). By using our sites or app, submitting a form, booking a call or buying a program, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use our sites.

The short version: results depend on your work and are not guaranteed. This is not medical, therapy, financial or legal advice. Your signed enrollment agreement controls your program, and you can stop texts at any time by replying STOP.

1. Who can use our sites and app

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You agree that the information you give us is true and that it is your own. You are responsible for keeping access to your account email secure, because that is how you sign in to the app.

2. Our programs and your enrollment agreement

TCP offers coaching, accountability and community programs, including The First Command, which you can only join after a call and by signing an enrollment agreement. What a program includes, its price, its payment schedule and its refund and cancellation terms are set out on that program’s offer page and, where there is one, in its signed enrollment agreement. The Brotherhood membership’s cancellation and refund terms are in section 3.

If these Terms and your signed enrollment agreement conflict, the enrollment agreement controls.

Applying or booking a call does not guarantee you a place. We may decline any application.

3. Payments, payment plans and refunds

  • Prices are in U.S. dollars and are shown before you pay.
  • If you choose a payment plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each scheduled date until the plan is paid off, as set out in your agreement.
  • Refunds follow the terms stated on the offer page or in your enrollment agreement for that program, and, for the Brotherhood membership, the terms below. Where none of these states a refund term, purchases are non-refundable.
  • If you have a problem with a charge, contact us first so we can fix it. Your enrollment agreement may give us a set period to resolve billing problems before you dispute the charge with your bank.

The Brotherhood membership: cancellation and the 30-Day Command Guarantee

This part applies only to the Brotherhood, our monthly membership. It does not apply to The First Command. A First Command client’s billing, cancellation and refunds are governed by his signed enrollment agreement.

  • Automatic renewal. Your membership renews automatically every month. On each renewal date your payment method is charged your locked monthly price until you cancel. Memberships are bought on our website, not through the App Store or Google Play, so Apple and Google cannot cancel or refund them.
  • Cancel anytime. There is no contract. You can cancel in the app (Profile › Membership › Cancel membership) or by emailing [email protected]. Cancelling stops your next charge. You keep full access through the end of the billing month you already paid for, which is the day before your next charge date. Then your access ends. We do not refund partial months.
  • Changing your mind. You can undo a cancellation in the app (Profile › Membership › Keep my membership) any time before your access ends.
  • Price. Your price stays locked while you remain a member. If you cancel and join again later, you pay the price in effect when you rejoin.
  • 30-Day Command Guarantee. Score 25 of your first 30 nights in the app and file 3 Sunday AARs during those 30 days. If you did that work and decide the Brotherhood wasn’t worth it, we will refund your first month.
    • Day 1 is the day after you join.
    • A scored night means you logged your nightly verdict (EXECUTED or NOT) in the app by the app’s deadline.
    • A Sunday AAR is your weekly After Action Review, filed by its Sunday deadline (the app accepts it until Monday at noon), for a week whose Sunday falls within your first 30 days.
    • Claim it within 7 days after day 30, in the app (Profile › Membership › Claim my refund, where the app tracks your progress) or by emailing [email protected].
    • The refund is your first month’s payment only. Later months are not refunded.
    • Claiming ends your membership once the refund is issued.
    • It applies to your first membership only, not to a rejoin, and only once per person. It applies to Brotherhood members only, not to The First Command.
  • Everything else. Outside the 30-Day Command Guarantee, payments already made are not refunded.

4. No guarantee of results

Our programs give you structure, standards and accountability. The work, and the results, are yours. We do not promise any specific outcome, financial, physical, relational or otherwise.

The 30-Day Command Guarantee in section 3 refunds your first Brotherhood month if you did the work and decide it wasn’t worth it. It is a refund promise, not a promise of any result.

Testimonials and stories on our pages and in our content are real experiences of real members. They are not typical and are not a promise that you will get the same results. Results depend on your effort, your circumstances and many factors outside our control.

5. Not medical, mental-health, financial or legal advice

TCP is not therapy, counseling, medical care, psychiatric treatment, or financial or legal advice, and our coaches are not acting as licensed professionals in those fields. Nothing we publish or say replaces advice from a qualified professional.

Health and fitness. Some content and program standards involve exercise, nutrition, sleep or physical challenges. Talk to your doctor before starting any new exercise or nutrition routine, especially if you have a medical condition or injury. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk, and you are responsible for knowing your own limits.

AI coach. The app’s AI coach is automated software (Claude, made by Anthropic), not a person, coach or licensed professional. Its replies can be wrong or incomplete. Check its training and nutrition suggestions against your own judgment and your doctor’s advice.

If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the U.S.) or 911. Do not rely on our community or coaches in an emergency.

6. Community conduct and confidentiality

Our calls and communities only work if they are safe. You agree to:

  • treat every member and coach with respect, with no harassment, threats, hate or discrimination;
  • keep what other members share confidential, with no screenshots, recordings, quotes or repeating it outside the program;
  • not sell to or recruit other members for outside businesses; and
  • not post anything illegal or anything you do not have the right to share.

Zero tolerance. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, threatening or illegal is not allowed anywhere in the app or our communities. The app filters prohibited words. You can report any post, comment, message or AI reply and block any member from inside the app. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and remove members who post it.

We may remove anyone who breaks these rules. Their access may end without a refund, as their enrollment agreement allows or, for Brotherhood members, immediately.

7. Our content

Everything we publish or provide, including videos, the Command Creed, The Command Standard, scorecards, the Command Audit, worksheets, call recordings and written material, belongs to The Command LLC and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own development. You may not copy, resell, share, publish, teach or use it to build a competing program.

8. What you send us

You keep ownership of what you post or submit. You give us permission to host, store and display it so that we can run the program.

Your scores and name in our marketing. By using our app, you agree that we may show your first name and last initial, profile photo, scores, streaks, pod rankings, badges and posts you make in the community feed in our marketing, including our website, emails, ads and social media, without payment to you. We will not use your full last name, progress photos, body measurements, check-ins, audits, journal entries or private messages in marketing without your separate written approval. You can opt out at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will stop using your information in new marketing within 14 days, but we cannot recall content already published.

Any other use of your name, likeness, story or results in marketing needs your permission, as described in your enrollment agreement or a separate written approval. You can withdraw that permission for future use by emailing us.

9. Text message program terms

Program name: The Command Project text messages, sent by The Command LLC.

The boxes are optional. You can submit the form without checking them.

  • Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan.
  • Reply STOP to opt out of any message at any time. You will get one final text confirming you are unsubscribed, and no further messages of that type unless you opt in again.

  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: see our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

10. App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded the app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and The Command LLC, not Apple or Google. The Command LLC, not Apple, is responsible for the app, its content, maintenance, support, and any claims about it, including product-liability, legal-compliance and intellectual-property claims. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the app (the app is free), and Apple has no other warranty obligation. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Other services

Our sites use and link to other companies’ services, such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Discord, booking tools and payment processors. We are not responsible for those services, and their own terms apply when you use them.

This site is not part of the Facebook™ website or Meta Platforms, Inc., and it is not endorsed by Facebook or Meta in any way. Facebook™ is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.

12. Disclaimer

Our sites, content and programs are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, The Command LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that our sites will be uninterrupted or error-free.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, The Command LLC and its owners, coaches and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of our sites or programs. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you paid nothing.

Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify The Command LLC against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of our sites or programs.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and you and we consent to that venue. Before filing anything, please email us. Most problems can be fixed with a conversation.

16. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use our sites after a change means you accept it. Changes do not alter a signed enrollment agreement unless both parties sign the change.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not waived it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
